Lifeline Christian Mission
For more than 30 years Lifeline Christian Mission has been working from it’s headquarters in Columbus, Ohio to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people around the world. Today the ministry extends to at least 8 countries or people groups, ministering to tens of thousands of people by sponsoring churches, healthcare facilities, Christian schools and children’s homes. The ministry also focuses on home building, nutrition ministry and sports ministry. Opportunities to serve exist locally, nationally, or internationally.

Compassion International
Compassion’s trusted ministry since 1952 is focused on the individual child and his or her development in over four continents. They present every child with an opportunity to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults by putting Jesus at the heart of their ministry and by working exclusively in partnership with local churches. Sponsoring a child provides him or her with food and clean water, medical care, educational opportunities, life skills training and an encouragement to develop a lifelong relationship with God.

World Vision International
With 44,000 staff members worldwide, World Vision brings sponsors and donors alongside children and communities in nearly 100 countries. Their work deals with issues from health to disaster response, integrating lasting solutions to the causes of poverty and sharing God’s hope for a brighter future. There are many ways to help from sponsoring a child to making a donation to bring urgent help to children in need.

Samaritans Purse – Operation Christmas Child
Samaritans Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization which provides spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world and the U.S. Since 1970, Samaritans Purse has helped victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love. Volunteers can work on medical missions, partner with Operation Christmas child, bring physical help and spiritual comfort to storm victims or work on construction projects in the U.S. and overseas.

The UM Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is a non-profit organization interested in alleviating human suffering around the globe. UMCOR’s work reaches people in more than 80 countries including the U.S., providing humanitarian relief when war, conflict or natural disaster disrupts life to such an extent that communities are unable to recover on their own. UMCOR spends 100% of designated donations on the projects their donors specify. When donors give their time, money and supplies, they join UMCOR as the hands and feet of God.

General Board of Global Ministries- Young Adult Ministries
Get involved in mission during your vacation, required semester abroad or gap year. Put your faith into action while living in community with those you serve. The individual volunteer program offers 2 months to 2 years at placement sites all around the world, including the US. The opportunities for volunteers are diverse including positions as case managers for refugees, teachers, pastors, camp directors, children and youth assistants and health care administrators. Raise your own funds, get trained, join with other volunteers and be immersed in another culture.
